Virginia-Village-Neighborho

The Virginia Village neighborhood is located just south of and slightly west of Virginia Vale, it lies between Mississippi Avenue (north), Evans (south), Colorado Boulevard (west) to Quebec (east), Cherry Creek South Drive cuts through the northeast corner comprising that border.  There has been a surge of redevelopment over the past decade in the Virginia Village real estate market, and the area continues to do very well with new construction, remodeling and new residents.

You will find Virginia Village residents jogging, cycling and rollerblading along the Cherry Creek bike path and through Cook Park and Garland Park.  The neighborhood’s western face has good retail along Colorado Blvd. including Whole Foods, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, DSW, as well as hotels and restaurants. I-25 and Light Rail are also easily accessible.

Within Virginia Village there are two smaller areas that are known for their unique and popular mid-century modern styles.  Krisana Park and Lynwood were built in the 1950’s and popular details include low-pitched roofs, open floor plans and walls of glass doors that open to the side yard or backyard. Homes in Krisana Park and Lynwood generally sell faster and for higher prices than other homes in Virginia Village.
