Historic Baker Neighborhood

Baker Historic District – may be the oldest neighborhood in Denver with homes dating back to the 19th century and contains the largest number of Queen Anne homes in Denver.  Baker has a strong neighborhood sense of community with an active baker historic neighborhood association.

Although the real estate community has been referring to the neighborhood as “up and coming” for almost a decade now, its time to make the transition may be sooner now than ever.  The improvements along Broadway and the construction of the Watermark Condo project may be signs that this neighborhood is quickly improving.

A big draw for the Baker district is its close proximity to Wash Park without the Wash Park prices and its easy access to downtown, light rail, and to the mountains.  The quality of homes and size of lots change from block-to-block, so choose wisely.

Historic Baker Neighborhood Highlights:

  • The Hornet – A local favorite hangout with great burgers and beers
  • The Mayan – Shows independent and cult films with a bar to boot!
